If you’ve used WhatsApp (who hasn’t) then you are aware how it is optimised for smaller screens like smartphones. But that doesn’t mean you cannot use it on larger screens like an Android tablet or an Apple iPad. If you’re an iPad user, this blog is just for you as we tell you how to use WhatsApp on Apple’s tab.
Different ways to use WhatsApp on an iPad
If you’re an iPad user wondering how to access WhatsApp chats on your tablet, there are a few ways you can work around it. Here are some:
Use WhatsApp Web on iPad
WhatsApp Web lets you access WhatsApp on a computer by syncing it with your smartphone. Here’s how:
1. Open the Safari browser on your iPad
2. Go to web.whatsapp.com, log into WhatsApp Web by following the instructions on the screen
3. In the address bar, you will discover an AA icon. Tap on it to request the website. This is important for gaining access to WhatsApp Web on your iPad
4. Open WhatsApp on your phone. Tap on the three dots within the top-right corner to access the menu. Select WhatsApp Web. Point your phone’s camera at the QR code displayed on your iPad
5. Once the QR code is scanned, your WhatsApp chats will appear on your iPad. You are now logged into WhatsApp Web on your iPad
Use third-party apps
Even though it is not encouraged to use third-party apps because of security and privacy issues, a few of them claim to provide WhatsApp on iPad. Be careful when using these apps, as they may violate and compromise your data. It’s really helpful to apply legitimate methods like WhatsApp Web.

If you feel your eyes getting strained while squinting at the messages or media on a smartphone screen, then the iPad’s larger display will provide relief.
