Apple has rolled out iOS 18.1 update, bringing a number of features that were first showcased at WWDC 2024. The update brings notable features like an improved Control Centre, Call Recording, and Apple Intelligence, its AI suite.

Apple Intelligence isn’t available in India, but you can still use it
The Apple Intelligence suite comes as part of the iOS 18.1 update, and it’s limited to the US region. Other regions are expected to get the suite later.

So, if you are trying to install iOS 18.1 and don’t see Apple Intelligence in the patch notes, don’t fret. There’s a simple trick that can get you Apple Intelligence right now on your iPhone in India. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: The trick to using Apple Intelligence right now on your iPhone is to change the device language from English (India) to English (US). Head over to Settings > General > Language & Region. Now set the language to English (US).
Step 2: Once you change the device language, just head to Settings > General > Software Update and then wait for the update to show up. The update should now have Apple Intelligence mentioned in the patch notes. Now, tap on Update.
You will need a lot of storage to update to iOS 18.1, so make sure you have plenty of space on your iPhone.

Step 3: Once your device is updated, you can use all the Apple Intelligence features, starting with a brand new Siri that has ChatGPT integration.
Which iPhones support Apple Intelligence?
While Apple Intelligence is finally here, it’s worth noting that only limited models support it. Here are all the iPhones that support Apple Intelligence via the iOS 18.1 update.
– iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
– iPhone 16 series, including the iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max
