If you are an Apple Watch user who also has an Apple TV 4K at home, you are in a luck. The latest version of the watchOS 11 brings an updated version of the Remote app, which is miles better than the older version, as it allows you to not only play and pause content, but also do a lot more, like adjusting the volume and invoking Siri, among other things.
Moreover, the updated version of the app has four additional features, making you totally feel like you do not need a physical remote anymore.
Apple Watch’s Remote app gains five new abilities
The watchOS 11 update brings in new changes to the remote app, including the ability to invoke Siri, mute and unmute audio, and more. Here are all the things that you can now do with the updated Remote app.
– The digital crown on the Apple Watch has been finally put to use as you can change volume levels with it. Just use it like you do for adjusting the volume on your Apple Watch, while being within the Remote app.
– Furthermore, you can also mute and unmute the audio playing on the Apple TV 4K right from your wrist.

– You can invoke Siri, too, by pressing and holding the Digital Crown for about a second.
– You can also turn captions on and off with the More Options button.
– And of course, you can also turn your Apple TV 4K on and off, again with the More Options button.
Other than this, you can also pause and play videos, which was the ability that already existed. With the new feature additions, the Remote app is finally usable. So, if you own both, an Apple Watch and an Apple TV 4K device, you must try out the new features.
