Have you ever tried to capture a stunning skyline or a wide-stretching busy street? The panorama or pan mode is the best option to capture such wide, breathtaking views. It works wonders, especially while clicking landscape and architectural photos. In this mode, the camera lens stitches several frames and binds them as one wide-angle photo.
Wondering how to take panoramic photos on your phone? Fret not! Whether you are using an Android or iOS smartphone, with this guide, you can click panoramic photos with your camera app.
How to shoot in panorama mode photos on your smartphone
Open your camera app on your Android phone, and you will find a few options to choose your mode. Swipe right to look for the More option and tap on Pano. The panorama mode on your camera will open.
On the other hand, if you are using an iPhone, open the camera app, and you will find a few modes above the capture button. Look for the panorama mode and click on that.

Tap on the capture button and move the phone slowly and steadily towards the arrow the on-screen instruction indicates. Once you are finished, press the capture button once again.
Make sure you follow the on-screen arrow. If your phone tells you to move faster, slower, up or down, just follow the instructions.
Any jerks or too much quick movement will result in jarring images that might look distorted. And if you are too slow, it will result in the same frame overlapping multiple times.
Panorama mode camera tricks for perfect photography
If you want to perfect the art of capturing panoramic photos, here are some tips to keep in mind:
1. Hold your phone steady and move the device slowly at the right pace.
2. If you can’t keep your phone steady, a small tripod can help you to smoothen your panoramic photography.

3. A popular way to use the panorama mode is to clone your subject. If your subject is especially a human or an obedient pet, put them at the beginning of the shot. Now, after you have panned, ask them to pass and hold still. And again, once you pan near the endpoint, move the subject once again. It will appear like the same subject is present at multiple places inside one picture.
Now that you know how to click panoramic photos, go out and experiment with it. For instance, try moving your phone at an arc or up and down a little, and check out the results. It may give out unique, abstract, and reality-bending looks.
