The Sony PlayStation 5 is one of the most sought-after consoles right now, and for fans of the Grand Theft Auto series who are waiting for GTA 6, the console even edges out gaming laptops and desktops in popularity because the game will come to consoles first.
That said, the recently launched Sony PS5 Slim is an even better choice in 2024. It offers more storage than the standard PS5, and comes in a lighter, more compact chassis.
If you’ve been eyeing the PS5 Slim, now may bet the best time to get your hands on one. That’s because Croma is offering limited units of the Sony PS5 Slim for as low as Rs 39,990. Here’s how you can get it.
How to get Sony PS5 Slim under Rs 40,000
The Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition is being offered at Rs 39,990, while the Sony PlayStation 5 Disc Edition will be priced at Rs 49,990. Both of these consoles will be available at Rs 10,000 lesser than their launch price.
The PS5 Slim offer is available from May 1 to May 14, and is only valid till stocks last. The offer will also be available both on the Croma website as well as your nearest Croma store (as per availability of stocks).
PS5 Slim: What’s new?
If you’re wondering what the difference between the PS5 and PS5 Slim is, the latter is a lighter and more compact version of the PS5. However, it is powered largely by the same hardware as the standard PS5.
This includes an 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor, coupled with an AMD RDNA 2 graphics card, and 16GB RAM. Both consoles also support Tempest 3D audio technology and 4K output with 120Hz refresh rate.
The slight upgrade we spoke about actually comes in the storage department. The PS5 Slim offers 1TB SSD storage compared to about 825GB SSD storage on the standard PS5. That leaves the PS5 Slim with a significant amount of more storage space, allowing gamers to have more games installed at a time.
