Android 14 is here, and like every version, it was first made available on Google Pixel devices. The update, Google said, will be gradually rolled out to other devices within the coming months. Now, there have been questions about which devices will be getting the update and when.
Well, if you happen to use a Samsung Galaxy device, today is your lucky day. The brand has just announced the rollout of its One UI 6 update to the public, which is based on Android 14, and has also confirmed which Galaxy devices will receive the same.
Galaxy S Series
According to Samsung, the first Galaxy device to receive the Android 14-based One UI 6 update will be its flagship lineup for 2023 – the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
In addition to this, however, the Samsung Galaxy S22, S21, and S20 lineup will also receive the update. The S20 however, will be the oldest S-model to receive the update, as its predecessor, the Galaxy S10 series, received its final Android OS update in 2022.
Galaxy Z series
The Galaxy Z series, as we know, is one of, if not the most sought-after lineup of devices from Samsung. Perhaps just as much as the S series lineup, and dare we say, perhaps even more.
Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Fold4, Flip4, the Fold and Flip3, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip and Flip 5G will get the update. In the case of the original Galaxy Z Fold, however, Android 13-based One UI 5 is the final update it will receive.
Galaxy Note series
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 series, the final Note devices from the company, will also receive the Android 14 update. Models prior to them won’t, however.
In addition to the above flagship offerings, Samsung has also confirmed that two smartphones from its A-series range – the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A53, will also receive the latest Android 14-based One UI 6 update.

While most recent Samsung smartphones have a provision to receive up to four years of OS updates and five years of security patch updates, the Galaxy M and Galaxy F series, are not part of the company’s official list of devices that will receive the update. This could be owing to the fact that they are more region-specific offerings. The update could be rolled out to them at a later date.
