If you want to give cloud storage a try, now is the time

Google One plans discount: How to get a 3-months plan for Rs 50

Most smartphones, laptops, and tablets today come with storage capacities ranging anywhere from 128GB to nearly 2TB. Much as they may suffice for most, storing your data online means you may not always be able to access it on the go. In contrast, cloud storage services such as Google Drive allow you to access the same data across devices, anytime, anywhere, for a relatively nominal amount.

Speaking of nominal amounts, Google One is offering its Basic, Standard, and Premium storage plans at just Rs 100, Rs 50, and Rs 160 respectively, for the first three months. The Basic plan offers 100GB of storage, while the Standard plan offers 200GB of storage. The Premium plan, on the other hand, offers 2TB of storage. Here’s how to avail the same.

How to avail Google One’s new promotional offers

Here’s how to avail Google One’s discounted storage plans on your smartphone.

1. Download and install the Google One app on your phone, and sign into the account you wish to purchase storage plans for.

2. Once logged in, scroll to the bottom, and look for a section that says ‘Google One membership.’

3. Here, you should find an option that says ‘Upgrade.’ Tap on it.

4. Next, tap the “get offer” button on the one you’d like to purchase, and follow the on-screen prompts to pay for the same.

Alternatively, you can also purchase these plans by opening the Google Photos app on your smartphone, tapping on your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen and clicking on the ‘Unlock storage discount’ button. For the offers to reflect though, ensure your app is updated to the latest version.

It is important to note here, the discounted rates of Rs 100, Rs 50, and Rs 160 per month are valid only for the first three months. Post the three-month period, the pricing for your Google One plans will increase to Rs 130, Rs 210, and Rs 650 per month respectively.
