Last month, Google began rolling out Gemini Live to select Android users for free. Now, Google has added 10 English voices to Live and Android users can access all the voices for free. Notably, Gemini Live was initially only available to Gemini Advanced users with the Google One AI Premium plan.
Now that it’s free, let’s take a look at the new voices and how you can access those in the Gemini Live app on your Android smartphone.
Gemini Live gets updated with new English voices
Gemini Live is Google’s AI chatbot that offers natural responses, just like you would expect from any human. It lets you have back-and-forth conversations. So, once you start a conversation with Gemini Live, it actively listens to you even if you close the Gemini app, making it more convenient to ask your queries.

These are all the new voices you can use in Gemini Live. Let’s see how you can access Gemini Live and try these new voices.
Here's how to access Gemini Live
Step 1: To access Gemini Live and the new voices, all you need to do is open the Google Gemini app on your Android smartphone. If you do not have it, install it from the Play Store.
Step 2: Once you are in the app, you should see the Gemini Live icon on the bottom right. Tap on it to start a conversation. You can also change the voices by swiping through them. Once you select a voice, start the conversation as usual.
Step 3: Now, you can have endless back-and-forth conversations with Gemini Live with the new voices. You can also pause the conversation by tapping on Hold or end it by tapping on End.
Gemini Live is currently only available to Android users via the Gemini app. However, it should also be available on iOS sometime later. Till then, iOS users can rely on the normal Gemini chatbot via the Google app.
