This AI-generated Game of Thrones trailer looks better than season 8

Living in the time where AI pushes its boundaries sure has its perks. With AI, entire podcast episodes can be spun into realistic-sounding hosts in a matter of seconds. It can even create AI trailers that allows users to visualise their favourite TV show or movie in a very different light.

Recently, an AI-generated trailer for the popular series, The Office, surfaced online. What’s hilarious was that it featured Donald Trump, Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin. One can only imagine how the storyline would progress. Now, another AI-generated trailer has surfaced online, and the series in question is Game of Thrones.

This reimagined version of Game of Thrones is set in a modern-day trailer park as opposed to the scenic Westeros. This version has been created by online user “demonflyingfox”, which hilariously combines medieval royalty with trailer park royalty.

To make the scenes convincing, the video features Daenerys Targaryen flying a gator and the song in the background provides perfect commentary while defining the characters and the plot of Game of Thrones. The song also seems to be an original titled A Song of Rednecks.

Coming to the characters, Ned Stark looks comfortable in camouflage, a tattooed Jon Snow’s greasy hair is on point, Arya takes on the world with a knife. Furthermore, a dorky Bran is sporting glasses and a cap, while Sansa resorts to Walmart for her shopping. Clearly the Starks seem right at home.

The video also features the Lannisters who are hanging around their trailer. Cersei and Jamie are still together, while their sibling Tyrion replaces expensive wines with cheap beers. Their father Lord Tywin continues to pull the strings, and the not-so little Joeffrey is also seen barking orders and making things worse.

It is unclear which AI software was used to generate the video. But there’s no denying that the end result is quite well thought out, and is bound to make fans of Game of Thrones laugh out loud.
