Choose Love: This Netflix rom-com will let users ‘choose’ the story’s ending

Netflix is known for its content across genres, and rom-com is indeed a guilty pleasure. Whether it is sitting back with your girl gang and binge-watching or waiting eagerly by your laptop for a new episode to drop — you’re sure to be spoilt for choice owing to the diverse content available on the platform. However, if you’re looking for something different to tune into, this time around, Netflix allows you to ‘choose’ love with its new movie.

So, what's 'Choose Love' about?

The interactive rom-com will be a 77-minute-long movie revolving around the life of Cami Conway (Laura Marano). Working as a recording engineer, Conway has her life in order and is looking at having an engagement, marriage and family with her long-term boyfriend, Paul (Scott Michael Foster). However, despite this, something seems amiss in her life. Whether it is her long-forgotten singing career or her chance with the one that got away, Netflix lets viewers guide her to make the right decision.

Through the movie, users can help her pick what is right based on ‘truth or dare’ situations, resulting in varied storylines and subplots. Each of these can lead to exciting new outcomes, giving subscribers a completely new story every time they change the narrative.

Does Netflix have other interactive titles?

This isn’t the first time Netflix has introduced an interactive genre, with its Black Mirror: Bandersnatch in 2018 going viral with its unique approach to storytelling. Other lesser-known titles include The Cat BurglarJurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Hidden Adventure, and Trivia Quest, among several others.

While we’re excited to see which of Cami’s happy endings is the best fit, the future certainly seems to be viewer driven. The film is all set to mark its release on August 31, and we can’t wait to have it on our list!
