Ultrahuman Rare 18-karat luxury smart ring worth almost Rs 2 lakh shown off at CES 2025

This year’s CES 2025 lineup acquainted us with a host of eye-catching gadgets that blurred the line between fiction and reality. From ‘gravity-defying’ televisions to an AI smart mirror privy to all sorts of beauty advice, a lot at the consumer electronics show were about the ‘wow’ factor.

In yet another notable announcement, Ultrahuman gave its smart ring a ‘luxury’ twist by unveiling its Rare collection. The Bangalore-based startup mentioned how the wearables will also be crafted using hallmarked gold, silver and platinum, depending on the model chosen by the user.

Ultrahuman Rare smart rings: What's different?

For starters, Ultrahuman’s premium smart ring collection features three variants. The brand mentions how the rings are crafted using 18K rose gold as well as 18K gold and are only sourced from the London Bullion Market Association-approved refineries.

The Ultrahuman Rare collection is also inspired by desert landscapes, which is the inspiration behind its Dune and Desert Rose variants. The third model – christened the Desert Snow variant – is made using 95 per cent pure platinum, making it the most expensive ring within the lineup at $2,200 (roughly Rs 1,90,000).

Desert Rose features a delicate rose-like formation of crystal clusters (inclusive of gypsum and baryte), which form a circular array of flat plates on the ring. The Dune colourway, on the other hand, flaunts finely crafted grooves with a brushed finish.
