Black Myth: Wukong is getting a Disc Edition for the Sony PlayStation 5

Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong has had a successful launch since its release in August this year. So far, the game was only available in the form of a digital copy for the PlayStation 5 console. Now, however, the studio has confirmed the physical disc edition of the title, and it’s already up for pre-orders. 

If you own a PlayStation 5 Disc Edition, read on to know when you can get the full physical disc edition of the popular title. 

Black Myth: Wukong Disc Edition is now available for pre-order

After several requests from fans, Game Science revealed that the game’s PS5 Disc Edition will be available soon. PM Studious USA also confirmed that it’s working with Game Science to bring the Black Myth: Wukong physical disc edition, which will be supported on the PlayStation 5 console.

Although the exact release date of the disc edition is unknown, it’s already been spotted on several online platforms in the US for pre-orders. This means we can also expect the game’s physical disc edition for PS5 to be available in India as well. But we’ll have to wait to know about the release timeline. 

Interestingly, Wukong’s Disc Edition will allow you to play the game even without an active Internet connection. Yes, finally a high-graphics game that may run offline on your PlayStation 5 console. The studio revealed that no internet connection will be required for the disc edition to be playable, unlike most of the recent games.

This is nothing but great news for those who own the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition. For the unversed, many game manufacturers have started offering digital codes to the game in their physical edition, which defeats the entire purpose of getting a Disc Editon console.

It is worth noting that the Black Myth: Wukong is already available on Sony’s PlayStation Store, so you can purchase it and play it right now. But if you have a disc edition PS5, we recommend you wait for the physical copy to be released. Notably, the popular title is also available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
