Outliers like Apple’s iPhones aside, the 128GB storage tier is very affordable today. You’ll find plenty of feature-rich smartphones under Rs 10,000 boasting of 128GB storage, and spending a bit more usually only gets you a bit more RAM or a slightly more powerful SoC.
In fact, we’d argue that 128GB storage is indeed enough for most, and that you’ll only be looking at higher storage tiers if you shoot a ridiculous amount of footage or have other needs beyond streaming and gaming.
With that in mind, here’s our list of what we think are the best phones you can get with 128GB of storage.

Realme C63
The best smartphone under Rs 10,000 with 128GB storage is the Realme C63. Powered by an unusual Unisoc Tiger T612 SoC and paired with up 4GB of RAM (going up to 8GB in higher tiers), the Realme C63 is a great all-rounder for its price. You also get 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage, a massive 50MP sensor for the primary camera, an 8MP selfie camera, a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast-charging support, and a large 6.75-inch 90Hz LCD.

Redmi A3
If you need more RAM and processing grunt for gaming and better multitasking, consider the Redmi A3. The price goes up fractionally to Rs 9,294, but the RAM gets a 50 per cent bump to 6GB and the processor is a faster Mediatek Helio G36. The camera takes a big hit, though, as you’re getting an 8MP primary with a 5MP selfie camera. The battery remains at 5,000mAh, but it charges at a much slower 10W.

Samsung Galaxy A16
For the media aficionados, we’d recommend the Samsung Galaxy A16. Its display is much nicer at this price as you’re getting a 90Hz Super AMOLED panel. Resolution also goes up to FHD+.
Samsung powers this phone with a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 and pairs it with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP auxiliary unit. The phone’s 5,000mAh battery charges at 25W.

CMF Phone 1
Looking to bump the RAM up to 8GB? How about the CMF Phone 1, then? The CMF Phone 1 is a very pretty phone, with a design that’s unlike anything else on the market. Its USP is of course the replaceable rear panel that can be swapped with a custom one, or even a 3D printed one. You can pick up the CMF Phone 1, which gets you 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 power, a 50MP primary camera, 4K video support, and a 16MP selfie camera.

Vivo V40e
For a premium experience, check out the recently launched Vivo V40e. It’s a great phone with an amazing display. Vivo’s gone for a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED here, and it supports HDR10+ and 1 billion colours at a PPI of 388. Power comes via a Mediatek Dimensity 7300, and you’re getting 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Cameras include two 50MP units (one each on the rear and the front) and an 8MP ultrawide. You get a 5,500mAh battery that charges at a blisteringly quick 80W.

There’s an incredible range of phones available with 128GB of storage. Whether you’re looking for a budget phone, a phone for gaming, or one with the best smartphone cameras around, you just can’t go wrong with this selection.
