Beats Solo Buds, Solo 4 and Pill launched in India

You don’t see a lot of Beats by Dre products in India, and that’s largely because the company didn’t operate in India. However, that changes now. Apple, the brand’s parent company since its acquisition has brought several Beats products to India including a pair of headphones, portable speakers and more.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new products including what they care capable of and how much they will set you back.

Beats Solo Buds

The first product is a par of entry-level earbuds called the Beats Solo Buds. These TWS earbuds come with a stem-less design and a compact case. There is no Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but the earbuds do offer an hour’s worth of combined playback on a quick five-minute charge. The earbuds also offer up to 18 hours of battery life on a full charge, including the case of course.

The earbuds are designed to be used with both Android phones and iPhones, and will support quick pairing modes on both platforms. They can also be tracked when lost using both Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device network.

The Beats Solo Buds are priced at Rs 6,900 and will be available in Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple and Transparent Red colours. At the price, they’re likely to compete with options like the OnePlus Buds 3.

Beats Solo 4

The Beats Solo 4 are on-ear headphones built for those who want a more premium audio experience from their Beats product. They offer up to 50 hours of battery life, and come with Personalised Spatial Audio as well as other sensor-based features like dynamic head tracking. The headphones come with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio port, letting you choose between both for when you want a wired, lossless listening experience.

The headphones also support a button for customisable controls that can be used to control playback or even making/taking calls. The Type-C port also doubles up as the headphones’ charging port and a quick 10-minute charge can give the headphones up to five hours of playback. Unfortunately, even these headphones miss out on Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support.

The Beats Solo 4 is priced at Rs 22,900 and will be available in Matte Black, Slate Blue and Cloud Pink. At the price, these headphones compare with the Bose QuietComfort, and if you can spend a little more, you can also consider the Sony WH-1000XM5.
