Barely two weeks after announcing its new Zenbook Duo OLED laptop, Asus India has introduced yet another addition to the Zenbook series of laptops in India – the new Zenbook 14 OLED. The laptop has several exciting tricks up its sleeves. To find out just what they are, read on.
Intel Core CPUs and on-board AI capabilities
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED can be equipped with either an Intel Core Ultra 5, an Intel Core Ultra 7, or a Core Ultra 9 CPU, all of which feature on-board AI capabilities. This means you can do anything from generating text and images to creating spreadsheets on the go, much faster than you would using cloud-based AI services. The laptop also features Asus’ AiSense camera which can automatically optimise lighting, blur your background, and even automatically detects your eye movements and adjusts your gaze, as if you’re looking into the camera at all times. In addition to this, on offer is a dedicated low-power AI engine, and a dual neural compute engine.

There’s also a 75Wh lithium polymer battery with support for 65W fast charging via a type-C charger, which guarantees all-day use with ease. Asus claims that you can charge the Zenbook 14 OLED up to 60 per cent in a mere 49 minutes.
Intel Arc GPU
While a dedicated GPU may not be entirely necessary with a notebook such as the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, it is nevertheless a welcome addition. The laptop gets a dedicated Intel Arc GPU, which greatly helps things along if you happen to dabble in image and video editing since it helps with faster rendering. The GPU also helps if you happen to like to engage in some light gaming from time to time as well.
3K OLED display
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, as the name suggests, gets a 3K OLED screen with a resolution of 2,880×1,800 pixels, with 550nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. That’s not all. It also has a DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification, meaning the screen provides you with extremely vivid colours, rich contrast, and deeper blacks. What’s cool is is that it has thin bezels, with an 87 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and also gets touch screen support.
There is also a 60Hz OLED display on offer, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, an FHD resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen gets a DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification. However, it misses out on touchscreen capabilities.
Design
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED features a sleek, metallic design, and is only 14.9mm thick, guaranteeing easy portability. The fact that it weighs only 1.2 kg also makes the laptop all the more convenient to carry and use on the go. The laptop also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection, which makes the laptop more resistant to accidental scratches, dents, and dings. There are also speakers by Harman/Kardon, Dolby Atmos support, as well as an in-built smart amplifier.

Other goodies on offer include two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, an audio jack that also doubles up as a microphone input, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port.
Quiet keyboard and virtual numeric keypad
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED features quiet keyboard technology, which reduces keyboard noise greatly, ensuring your work keeps going without ever disturbing those around you. There’s also an emoji hotkey on the keyboard. That’s not the coolest bit, however. Now, the fact that it doesn’t have a full-size keyboard may come across as an inconvenience to many users. However, Asus has that taken care of, with its NumberPad 2.0 virtual numeric keypad. In essence, the laptop’s trackpad doubles up as a number pad as and when you need it to, should your work happen to involve a lot of number-crunching.
Asus Zenbook 14 OLED: Pricing and availability
Asus’ latest offering, the Zenbook 14 OLED is available in Foggy Silver and Ponder Blue Colourways. The price of the device starts ats Rs 99,990 for the base variant and goes up to Rs 1,20,990, depending on which configuration you purchase the device with.
A few other options you can consider in this price range are the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 and the HP Envy 13. If Windows isn’t for you, you can also consider picking up the Apple MacBook Air M2.
