Asus is a known name in the gaming laptop space thanks to a lot of popular models across the ROG series and the Asus TUF series of affordable gaming laptops. However, models across both these series are, after all, gaming laptops – and that means they’re big and bulky.
Now, Asus has a new laptop that’s not a part of either of these series but can still qualify as a moderately powered gaming machine. That’s the new Asus V16. Here’s everything you need to know about the laptop.
Asus V16: What’s new?
The Asus V16 cones with a 16-inch IPS display with 144 Hz refresh rate and FHD resolution. The design is MIL-STD-810H certified and comes with a 63Wh battery.
This makes the laptop an everyday machine that is thinner and lighter than your average gaming laptop, making carrying it around super easy.

The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5 13420H (but also comes with an i7 13620H option) along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU (or an RTX 3050 option).
ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HF-HN024WS Intel Core i5 11th Gen Gaming Laptop (8GB, 512GB SSD, Windows 11, 4GB GDDR6, 15.6 inch FHD IPS Display, MS Office 2021, Graphite Black, 2.3Kg)

Other features include an FHD front camera, built-in speakers and a microphone. To power the machine, you also get a 150W charging adapter.
Now, all these specifications might get you thinking that the Asus V16 is a full-fledged gaming machine, and it largely is, but don’t expect the same performance you would from something like a TUF or a ROG, which also come with other benefits like more power intake, better cooling etc.
Unfortunately, there are no pricing details for the Asus V16 just yet, and it is when that is revealed, that we will know if you should consider getting this over a proper gaming machine.
