Assassin’s Creed is one of those series many of us have grown up with. This is particularly why many gamers (me included) were also not exactly happy with the RPG-like direction the series’ titles had taken in the past few years. That changed with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest title in the series, which promised a return to the series’ stealth combat-based roots.
For fans of the series who want to give the title a shot before buying the game in its entirety, Ubisoft is now offering a great offer – a free trial of the game that lets you play through the first couple of hours of the title, all the way until the end of April.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage free trial: What’s new?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage offers the first two hours of the game’s single player campaign. The story follows Basim, a recurring character from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, who now takes centre-stage as the main character. Players get to step into the shoes of Basim’s early days as a skilled street-thief and grow alongside him as he turns into one of the hidden ones.
The latter, we imagine, is a stage you’d only get to once you purchase the whole game. That said, the free trial should still offer plenty of time with the title for you to figure out things like whether you enjoy the game, whether your machine is well-equipped to actually run the game, or any other reason that may have been holding you back from committing to the title.
Something to keep in mind, should you choose to buy the game later on, is that Ubisoft will allow you to retain your progress made in the free trial, which means you can continue from where you left once you purchase the game.
Where to get the free trial?
The Assassin’s Creed Mirage free trial is available for all platforms including the Sony PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S as well as PCs.
This means whether you have a console or a gaming laptop or desktop, you will be able to get the game’s trial for free until the end of this month. To grab the trial, head to Ubisoft’s website right now and follow on-screen instructions.
If you are a fan of stealth-based games though, you may also want to check out Ghost of Tsushima, a Samurai/Stealth title that did the rounds as a PlayStation exclusive and is coming to PCs next month.
