Apple makes some of the best smartphones and laptops out there in the form of its iPhones and MacBooks, However, the brand is also known for its content streaming library, which is full of some amazing movies and shows, all under the Apple TV platform. There was just one caveat – Apple TV was only available to iOS users, and not Android phones. That changes now.

Apple has finally opened up Apple TV to Android-powered devices, which will allow you to open the streaming platform on your Android phones as well as Android tablets.

For Android users, this means access to popular shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, Silo, Ghosted, and other movies and shows. Those with an MLS Season pass will also be able to watch Major League Soccer matches including Lionel Messi and the Inter Miami FC squad in action.

Of course, you would still need an Apple TV+ subscription to use the service. Apple TV plans start at Rs 99 per month, but are also a part of the Apple One subscription if you use other Apple services like Apple Music and iCloud.

How to get Apple TV on your Android phone or tablet

Getting Apple TV on your Android device is easy. Simply head to the Google Play Store and search for Apple TV. Tap on the ‘Install’ button and the app should begin downloading.

When done, open the Apple TV app and login with your Apple ID. If an active subscription is linked to your Apple ID, you can start using the app right away.
