Do you happen to follow sports a lot? Perhaps the Premier League, or La Liga? Or even the NBA? If you happen to be a sports aficionado, and use an iPhone, Apple has something in store for you, namely, the new Apple Sports app.
Apple Sports: What it can do for you
Apple has just introduced Apple Sports for iPhones. In essence, the app allows you to keep track of all your favourite teams across several sports, as well as tournaments.
Users can get real-time information about their favourite teams’ scores, and upcoming matches, as well as lineup details and live betting odds. What’s more, users can even get real-time information on each team’s playing strategy in any given match.

The app also allows you to connect to the Apple TV app and watch matches live. That’s not all. It also connects to Apple News for real-time updates for sports.
Apple’s iPhone users have been able to keep track of the scores of the teams they follow since the launch of iOS 16, through the Apple TV app. However, Apple says that the new Apple is a quick and easy way to keep up with sports.
So, whether it is Ronaldo scoring a goal from long-range or Lebron raining three-pointers on his opponents, you can ensure you never miss the action ever again.
Apple Sports: How to use it
Apple Sports is available to download from the App Store. Bear in mind, however, the app only supports iPhones running on iOS 17.2 or later.
Another thing to also remember is that Apple Sports is currently being rolled out to users in the USA, UK, and Canada. Therefore, the sports leagues and teams listed on them are fairly localised, with leagues including Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and the NBA.

However, there is support for other tournaments that are followed globally, including La Liga, Bundesliga and the Premier League.
Hopefully, Apple will begin to roll out to more markets, including India in the future, and include more sports and leagues on the app in the near future, including Cricket.
