Apple is known to launch its new iPhones every September. But another pattern we’ve noticed is the company launching a new colour variant a few months after the launch of a new iPhone. Apple is now back with a new colour in 2023, for its iPhone 14 series, and the new colour is yellow.
The new shade comes to the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus, while the Pro variants in the series continue to be limited to the colours offered during launch. For the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus though, the new colours are the only addition to the series.
Both the yellow phones still come with the Apple A15 Bionic chip and are upgradeable to iOS 16.3. The base iPhone 14, now the most compact phone in the series, still offers a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen, MagSafe support, a dual 12MP camera setup on the back, and a 12MP front camera.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Plus in yellow also offers the same 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, support for MagSafe and the same dual 12MP camera on the back and a single 12MP camera on the front. Both devices also still offer stereo speakers, a lightning port, IP68 certification, and IR-based facial recognition via FaceID.
Apple has also launched four new official silicone cases for the iPhone 14. These are available in Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky and Iris colourways.

Price and availability
The new yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus is priced just as much as the other colour variants of the phone. In India, the base iPhone 14 starts at Rs 79,900 while the iPhone 14 Plus will set you back a minimum of Rs 89,900. Both phones can also be purchased with 512GB storage for a higher price.
However, both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus yellow variants will be available for pre-order from March 14.
