Apple announced the latest iPhone 16 series at the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event on September 9. The event saw the unveiling of the latest iPhones, which include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

As is the case every year, the latest iPhone 16 series is the best there is in Apple’s ecosystem. From a more refined design thanks to the premium materials in use to offering more power to do tasks even more efficiently, you will have little to complain about the new iPhones. If that wasn’t enough, the iPhone 16 is also smarter thanks to its support for the Apple Intelligence suite of features.

With different sizes, colour and storage options, and available across price ranges, there’s an iPhone for everyone in a family.

When it comes to design, the most visible change you will notice one the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are the vertically stacked dual cameras at the back. This setup includes a 48MP fusion camera and an ultrawide secondary sensor with autofocus. In comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro models boast of a triple camera setup, which includes a 48MP fusion camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP 5x telephoto camera. The Pro cameras are also now able to shoot 4K slow-mo videos at 120fps.

The Action Button from last year’s Pro phones have now come to the standard iPhone 16 series, which can be customised with shortcuts. Speaking of buttons, there’s a new Camera Control button on all the new iPhone 16 models. This button can be pressed to fire up the camera and shoot quick photos. A light press will open camera settings, and then you can slide across the capacitive buttons to scroll through different features.

Powering the Apple iPhone 16 is the new A18 chip with six cores including two cores for performance and four cores for efficiency. Apple says that this chip is up to 30 per cent faster than the one on the iPhone 15.

The iPhone 16 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by Apple's A18 Pro chip that offers up to 15 per cent faster performance and up to 20 per cent better graphics performance as compared to the iPhone 15 Pro.

The iPhone 16 price starts from Rs 79,900, while prices for the iPhone 16 Plus start from Rs 89,900. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro has been priced at Rs 1,19,900 for the basic model, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,44,900.

The iPhone 16 comes in five colours namely Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White and Black. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will be available in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and the all-new Desert Titanium. All iPhone 16 models also get the all new Camera Control feature for better photography.
